Food in Later Life
An educational game to help those people caring for, supporting or volunteering with older people, to understand the challenges older people face in relation to cooking, eating and shopping.
A content-rich evidence-based team game. It’s fun with a serious purpose and clear educational outcomes. No external support is required, anyone can facilitate a game. Up to 2-16 people can play and a game last 40-60 minutes.
An educational game to help those people caring for, supporting or volunteering with older people, to understand the challenges older people face in relation to cooking, eating and shopping. The game encourages players to discuss solutions to the barriers facing those accessing food in later life.
Topics covered include: common issues faced in later life when cooking, eating or shopping, role of community/voluntary organisations, role of supermarkets/retailers, solutions to the issues faced by older people, ways to improve access to food, who is vulnerable to food insecurity and why?
