Suppliers are individuals or businesses that have agreed to abide by the respective Wippet agreements. Suppliers sell, advertise or promote products and/or services on our marketplace.

We collect your name, company name, website, social media handles, phone number(s), address, business type, email address, and relevant payment details where applicable. We may use this information to conduct marketing and/or advertising campaigns.

4. Collection of Data from Buyers

We collect information from buyers that have agreed to register, subscribe for our newsletter and make general enquiries with us on our products and services.

We collect your name, company name, website, social media handles, phone number (s), address, business type, email addresses and relevant payment details where applicable. We may use this information to conduct marketing and/or advertising campaigns.

5. Payment information

We use a third party to process payments on our behalf. The payment provider we use is called Stripe https://stripe.com/gb. We do not have access to any of your payment information. As part of delivering optimum service to our customers, we take extra security measures to maintain your data. Only authorized employees from our organization can access, alter, disclose and destroy personal data, when required.

In addition, these employees only act within the scope of their authority and are trained to prevent any errors or omissions.

We also carry out ongoing security monitoring exercises to ensure that our systems are updated and adopt appropriate industry data collection, storage, and processing practices.

Physical security measures are in place to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure of personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored in your user account. Access to your name and address is restricted to our employees who need to know such information in connection with delivering our services to you and are bound by legal confidential obligations.

 

7. Communication Preferences

When you provide information through one of our webforms or other avenues, we might provide you with further information about our services. You can manage your subscription preferences at any time and unsubscribe from this information.

8. Keeping your data up to date

We may retain your information for a period consistent with the original reason it was collected. Upon entering into an agreement with us, we reserve the right to store and use your information. Upon termination of the agreement, we will keep your information for a pre-defined period of up 8 years.

As a customer, you have the right to request to review, correct, delete or otherwise modify any of the personal information you may have previously provided to us, at any time. For other requests: erasure, access, portability, rectification, and objection, your requests will be addressed within thirty (30) days.

 

9. Your rights

  • Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.

  • Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – you also have the right not to be subject to automated processing or profiling.
